250 euro a month: the arithmetic before the decision
The price is not the question, the break even is. At 250 euros a month and an enquiry worth 300 euros, the placement pays for itself with fewer than one enquiry a month, and the six month minimum of 1,500 euros needs five. Work out your own number before anyone shows you a case study.

The arithmetic before the argument
Every placement should be judged the same way: what does one enquiry earn you, and how many does this have to produce. The first number is your average order value times your closing rate. The second is the monthly investment divided by the first.
That is the whole model, and it takes ten minutes. Anything a supplier shows you before you have run it is a story, and stories are chosen to fit the offer.
The numbers, run in both directions
An investment of 250 euros a month is 3,000 euros over a year, and a six month minimum term is 1,500 euros. With an enquiry worth 300 euros, break even sits at 0.83 enquiries a month, so 5 enquiries across the six months covers the whole term.
Change the trade and the picture inverts. With an enquiry worth 60 euros, break even is 4.2 enquiries a month, which is 25 across the minimum term. That is a different proposition, and for many businesses it is a no.
Then weigh what the six months are for. Consumers consult an average of six review sites, 74 percent want reviews from the last three months, and 45 percent used an AI tool to find a local business in 2026. Presence has to be repeated across sources and across time before those systems treat it as settled, which is why a two month trial measures the wrong thing.
| Value of one enquiry | Enquiries per month to break even | Over six months |
|---|---|---|
| 60 € | 4.2 | 25 |
| 150 € | 1.7 | 10 |
| 300 € | 0.83 | 5 |
| 625 € | 0.4 | 2.4 |
What to ask before signing anything
Ask what will be counted and how. An arrangement that reports impressions is reporting something you cannot value. An arrangement that reports enquiries can be held against the number you calculated.
And ask what happens at the end of the term. A placement worth having is one you would renew because the count justified it, not one you keep because leaving is awkward.
Then diarise the review. Six months from the start, put the counted enquiries next to the 1,500 euros and decide on that page alone. A decision taken against a number written down in advance is the only kind that survives a persuasive supplier.
